27th Annual Festival of Lights Auto Tour
November 29th – December 29th
The 27th Annual Festival of Lights Auto Tour will be held at the Redman Creek East Campground November 29 – December 29th! This event will be partnered again this year with the Wappapello Lake Area Association (WLAA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Approximately 250,000 lights will transform this campground into a winter wonderland that will help to bring in the Holiday Spirit. Local businesses and individuals decorate sites with as many lights as possible. Sites are free and the event is free to attend. If you are interested in decorating a site or for more information please call the Wappapello Lake Management Office at 573-222-8562.

A Christmas Carol, a Live Radio Play

Experience a Christmas classic as an old-fashioned radio broadcast with A Christmas Carol, a Live Radio Play. Mike Malone directs this Center Stage production of Tony Palermo’s faithful adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic story of Christmas, memory, and redemption. This script is true to Dickens language and theme. It also features authentic orchestral Victorian Christmas carols, spooky ghost music, and manual sound effects. Tickets $5. 1st Annual Lou Family Jingle Jog
December 14, 2019 at 10:00 A.M.
Located in Downtown Poplar Bluff
This one-mile run is a great way to get in the Christmas spirit and have a blast with your family and friends. Pre-registration runs through 12/1 and is only $20. All who pre-register, ages 13 and up, will get a t-shirt. Select size on registration form. Kids 12 and under get free entry and will receive a free Santa hat for participating. Sign-ups will be available the day of the run/walk for $20 and registration will begin at 9 AM. This is a Christmas themed event and Christmas costumes and apparel are encouraged.

Take a trip over the rainbow with a Kansas farm girl in the Center Stage production of Wizard of Oz. Carlie Dillinger, director of last year’s Alice in Wonderland, directs this musical based on the classic film about Dorothy’s adventures and the magical power of home.
