2019 Ag Expo
January 18 – 19, 2019
Located at the Black River Coliseum
One of the largest ag trade shows in the region. Admission is $1 for adults and free for all college students and youths. There will be over 100 booths available to visit and learn first-hand about agriculture and natural resources and its impact on the area’s economy. The expo will also feature outdoor exhibits. The two days are packed with activities for the whole family. Activities include entertainment, agriculture seminars, beauty pageants, tractor driving contests for FFA members, petting farm, old time auction, milking contest, and toy tractor pedal pull for youth ages 4 to 9.

Russian National Ballet Performing Cinderella

Located at Mingo National Wildlife Refuge
Join Mingo National Wildlife Refuge, Missouri Department of Conservation, Wappapello Lake Army Corps of Engineers for a day honoring eagles in Missouri. Live eagle programs in the MAINTENANCE SHOP presented by the Dickerson Park Zoo at 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. Exhibits and other activities in the Visitor Center. Spotting scopes will be set up on several active eagle nests around Mingo, Duck Creek Conservation Area, and Wappapello Lake.

The Three Rivers College Music Department’s Annual Jazz Festival features two concerts showcasing young musicians from throughout Southeast Missouri. The February 7 concert features area junior high and high school jazz bands and the TRC Jazz Band. On February 9, it’s an evening of jazz with the Southeast Missouri All-District High School Jazz Band and the TRC Jazz Band.

Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka

Located at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center at Three Rivers College
The Three Rivers College Music Department presents its annual family musical, Willy Wonka, with music and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley and adapted for the stage by Leslie Bricusse and Timothy Allen McDonald. TRC Music students perform this delicious adventure of Charlie’s visit to a mysterious chocolate factory run by eccentric proprietor Willy Wonka. Based on Roald Dahl’s book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MIT). Admission is $10 or $5 with any school ID and free for children 5 and younger.
